Size 2: 10-14 lbs
Size 3: 14-22 lbs
Size 4: 20-28 lbs
Size 5: 25+ lbs
Size 6: 30+ lbs
For more information on how to determine the sizing and how long you can expect to be in a given size, we encourage you to check out our blog post here.
At Kudos, our goal has been and always will be to provide you with the safest disposable diaper for babyâs sensitive skin, the planetâŚand your white couch!Â
Kudos is the first disposable diaper where babyâs bum touches 100% doctor-recommended cotton all day. Not plastic. Cotton is naturally soft, sustainable, hypoallergenic and the #1 doctor-recommended material for rash and eczema. Plastic is fossil-fuel-derived and can be absorbed into the skin and disrupt the reproductive and endocrine systems.
Designed by our team of former MIT and P&G engineers, Kudos are made with 4x more plant-based components than the leading diaper brands. Our patent-pending DoubleDryTM Tech has two absorption layers instead of the traditional one giving Kudos unsurpassed overnight leakage protection.Â

Unfortunately, even diapers made of seemingly natural ingredients, like bamboo, can use harmful processing techniques that are dangerous for the planet.Â
Ever feel a bamboo plant? Itâs hard. Almost like wood. Unfortunately, the harsh processing to turn hard bamboo into soft fabric releases environmentally toxic carbon disulfide (which can cause psychosis or lung disease) and hydrogen sulfied (which can cause reproductive issues and eye irritation) into the air.Â
According to an FTC report about the mislabeling of bamboo, âmost âbambooâ textile products, if not all, really are rayon, which typically is made using environmentally toxic chemicals in a process that emits hazardous pollutants into the air.âÂ
Thatâs why, when researching materials for our diapers, Kudos chose to avoid bamboo entirely and opt for 100% US-sourced cotton instead. You can learn more here.
Kudos diapers were designed to offer the best of both worlds between the convenience of disposable diapers and the sustainability and skin-friendly benefits of cloth diapers. For those who are primarily using cloth diapers, we find that Kudos are a great option for overnight use and travel purposes.
Our entire diaper is OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified. This certification is the gold standard in safety for textile products. It means our diaper is free of 100+ of the most harmful chemicals. You can learn more about this here.
We adjust the quantity in each monthly box based on diaper size because as babies grow, fewer are used a day.Â
Size 1: 216
Size 2: 200
Size 3: 186
Size 4: 168
Size 5: 144
Size 6: 126
All of our cotton is sourced from local farmers in the US. The final assembly of our product happens in Germany and Mexico.
Pee and poo need a place to go. So we made our patent-pending DoubleDry⢠Tech with 2 layers instead of the traditional 1 to prevent leaks and keep baby dry. All night long.
Developed by our team of former MIT and P&G engineers, our patent-pending DoubleDry⢠Tech features two absorption layers instead of the traditional one to offer unsurpassed overnight and daytime leakage protection compared to leading natural diaper brands. Our two powerful, plant-based layers quickly wick away and absorb liquids to keep butts dry.
We donât use organic cotton because we canât purchase large enough quantities from the U.S. and we donât want to source our cotton from Asia where the practices, regulations, and classifications of organic cotton are widely known to be unreliable.Â
Instead, we focus on using the safest, most sustainable non-organic cotton possible sourced entirely from U.S farmers. Our cotton is chlorine-free and cleaned with a breakthrough process that involves zero chemicals, water, or process heat. You can learn more about our cotton here.
Additionally, there is always the question if organic cotton farming in the U.S. is more sustainable. Organic cotton yields 1/7 as much as conventional cotton. This means you need 7X the water, 7X the land, 7X the irrigation, etc. to get the same amount of cotton.
Our diapers are fully OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified. This certification is the gold standard in safety for textile products. It means our diaper is free of 100+ of the most harmful chemicals. You can learn more about this here.
Kudos uses a mix of 70% unbleached cotton and 30% bleached cotton. The bleaching is 100% chlorine-free and gives the cotton the strength necessary to hold up in a diaper. Most cotton you see in baby products is 100% bleached cotton. Which is why itâs so white. With Kudos, you may see tiny specks from our pure unbleached cotton. Thatâs the cotton showing off how natural (and unbleached) it is.
100% cotton underwear is considered the comfiest for adults. The same logic goes for babies. Cotton is naturally soft, hypoallergenic, and according to this study proven to cause zero skin irritation. Cotton is the #1 doctor-recommended material for rash and eczema, and the #1 choice for Kudos diaper liners. Not plastic.
Yes! All Kudos diapers include a helpful wetness indicator that will turn from yellow to blue when a diaper is wet and should be changed.
Nope, not at all! Thatâs just our cotton showing off how natural it is. Most cotton has it, but is typically 100% bleached so you canât see those specs. Itâs perfectly safe for babies -- in fact, when you donât see the little black specs on products that are made from cotton, that means it has undergone harsher processing. For more info on what makes our cotton unique, check out our blog post on TruCotton.
Yes! Our EWG-certified wipes are compostable and biodegradable. And made with sustainably-managed trees from VEOCEL⢠Lyocell fibers. While other plastic and bamboo (AKA viscose) wipes are made using harsh chemicals that pollute, Kudos wipes are responsible.Â

Weâve focused our efforts on sourcing materials from the most sustainable and renewable resources possible. These include clean, hypoallergenic cotton, sugarcane, and trees. In fact, Kudos are 4x more plant-based than the leading disposable diaper brand! You can read a full teardown of all the materials in our diaper here.
Our cotton is provided by True Cotton which is 100% sourced from farms in the United States. You can read more about it here. Itâs the only thing that touches your babyâs sensitive bum when they wear Kudos!
We use True Cotton, which is entirely sourced from farmers in the U.S. and is cleaned with a breakthrough process that utilizes zero water, chemicals, or process heat. You can learn more about it here.
Generally speaking, yes. Cotton is energy self-sustaining, and does not contribute to net greenhouse gas emissions. This is because cotton naturally uses sunlight to convert itself into a soft fiber without any intermediate processing steps (unlike plastic or bamboo). So, cotton basically has a ânegativeâ energy footprint. You can learn more about that here.
Some pesticides and fertilizers are always involved in the production of cotton -- organic and non-organic. Once the cotton fiber is exposed to the air (i.e. once its grown), no pesticides are applied to the surface of the cotton.
We use the safest, most sustainable non-organic cotton possible sourced entirely from farmers in the U.S., chlorine-free, and cleaned with a breakthrough process that involves zero chemicals, water, or process heat. You can learn more about our cotton here.
Kudos diapers are meant to be disposed of in the trash after each use. We know many parents rely on the convenience of disposable diapers, so weâve focused on sourcing the safest materials from the most sustainable and renewable resources.
Kudos diapers are 4x more plant-based than the leading disposable diaper brand and our R&D team is working closely with our industry partners to push material innovation forward.
With your help and support, we hope we can get to a 100% plant-based, plastic-free, compostable diaper in the future.
While Kudos diapers are made from more plant-based ingredients than any other disposable diaper on the market, even our diapers are not fully compostable and should be disposed of in the trash. Regardless of what you hear, no disposable diaper is 100% compostable (yet). And, no diaper should ever be flushed down the toilet.Â
However! We are exploring partnerships with industrial composting facilities that can break down parts of the diaper to then get composted. Weâll be sure to keep you posted on the lastest advances. Check out our blog article on the â4 dirty composting truthsâ to learn more.
Yes! Our wipes are 100% biodegradable. Other baby wipes are made with some form of plastic. Not Kudos. Ours are plastic-free and made with sustainably-managed trees from VEOCEL⢠Lyocell fibers.
